This Privacy Policy explains what LinkSafe collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it short and honest.

This is a template. Have counsel review before public launch.

1. What we collect

Account data — email, username, display name, and (optionally) an avatar.
Your content — boards, tabs, categories, and the links, titles, notes, and tags you save. LinkSafe stores references to third-party pages; we do not store copies of those pages.
Preferences — UI settings such as column counts and appearance.
Billing — handled by Stripe. We receive plan status and a customer ID; we do not store your card number.
Technical logs — IP address, browser, and timestamps for security and reliability.

2. How we use it

To provide, secure, and improve the Service.
To process payments and manage your subscription.
To power AI enrichment of links you save (see below).
To send transactional email (sign-in, receipts, service notices).

3. AI enrichment

When you save a link, LinkSafe may fetch the page's public metadata (title, description, image) and send it to a large language model to suggest a category and tags. We do not use your content to train third-party models. See the Data Processing Addendum for subprocessor details.

4. Sharing

We share data only with subprocessors listed in our DPA, or when required by law. We do not sell personal data.

5. Public content

Boards and profiles you mark public are accessible to anyone with the URL and may be indexed by search engines.

6. Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account we delete or anonymize your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. financial records).

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your data, and to object to certain processing. Contact hello@linksafe.io to exercise them.

8. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest via our hosting provider. See Security for controls we currently rely on.

9. International transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than yours. Where applicable, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses with our subprocessors.

10. Children

LinkSafe is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their data.
